Two women stand indoors, smiling and holding framed Nick’s Kids Teacher Excellence Award certificates. The woman on the left wears a mustard yellow dress, and the woman on the right wears a maroon top. They are posed in front of a softly lit background with a poinsettia plant visible in the lower left corner.

Perry County educators Ms. LeRose Minor and Ms. Kedra King have been recognized with the Nick’s Kids Excellence in Education Award, presented by the Nick’s Kids Foundation. This foundation, established by the Saban family, supports children, families, teachers, and communities across Alabama through scholarships, grants, and programs that promote education, health, and well-being.

The Nick’s Kids Excellence in Education Award honors outstanding teachers who go above and beyond to support student learning and create positive, nurturing classroom environments. Recipients are selected for their dedication, innovation, and lasting impact on students and their school communities.

Perry County Schools is proud of Ms. Minor and Ms. King for this well‑deserved recognition and for the example they set for students and colleagues alike.
