Welcome to Child Nutrition Services!

Perry County Schools Food Service Department is committed to providing each student with a healthy nutritious meal with the highest quality school dining experience. All employees are trained to deliver high quality customer service where everyone is welcome, valued, and appreciated. School breakfast and lunch are planned and prepared according to standards that meet the USDA Dietary guidelines for Americans in a safe and sanitary environment. Menus are planned with the goal of providing students with one third of their Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for key nutrients and calories.

During the 2022-2023 school year, the Perry County school District will participate in Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) on both campuses under the United States Department of Agriculture Community Eligibility Amendment of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. By choosing this option, meals will be served to all students enrolled in our schools at no charge regardless of their eligibility. Students are also eligible for one reimbursable snack at no charge at school sites that offer snacks during qualified After-School Enrichment Programs.

The Perry County School System participates in the Offer vs serve program for both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast consists of Grains (with optional meat/meat alternate substitution allowed), Fruit/Vegetable and Milk. Each morning four components will be offered. Students must take at least 3 of the 4 components including ½ cup fruit or vegetable plus at least 2 of the other components. Lunch consists of Meat/Meat Alternate, Vegetables, Fruits, Grains and Milk. All five components will be offered each day. Students must take at least 3 of the components including ½ cup fruit or vegetable plus at least 2 of the other components.
